Pastor Jesse Bailey is the Lead Pastor and founder of Legacy Family Church.  As the tenth born of fourteen children, Pastor Jesse was raised in an environment where faith in God, a love for people and strong community were essential for daily living.  His parents, a bi-racial couple whose love for God broke through racial and cultural differences, instilled in him a passion for God and a love and appreciation for people of all cultures that paved the way for ministry in Southern California.

At 13, Jesse began serving as a counselor for church camps where he would lead and teach younger believers.  At 19, he helped found the youth ministry at a young church where he would serve for 17 years in a variety of roles including Youth Pastor, Children’s Director, Helps Ministry Pastor, Dean of Students and eventually the Associate Pastor.

In 2001, Jesse married the love of his life, Jennifer and currently they have five children together– Jesia, Justus, Jalen, Judah and Jordan.  Jennifer is a loving and devoted wife and mother who homeschools their five children, manages the home, oversees Pastor Jesse’s busy calendar and still finds time to use her gifts in music and drama to serve in the LFC Music Ministry and Creative Team.

Under the direction of the LORD in October of 2013, Jesse, Jennifer and a few close friends began a Bible study in a small dance studio in Chatsworth, CA. By December of that year the gathering was overflowing the dance studio and it was apparent that we had grown into much more than a simple Bible study.  On December 15th 2013, New Wine Family Church was launched. IN March of 2017 the LORD spoke to Jesse and said He had a new name for our maturing church and the name Legacy Family Church was given and confirmed. God’s grace continues to cause our young church to thrive.

Pastor Jesse brings to the pulpit a refreshing balance of lighthearted, practical teaching and a strong reverence for the LORD and His Word that empowers and challenges all at the same time. His deep sense of family and appreciation of diversity has helped cultivate an environment where a genuine sense of community and love is felt regardless of age, race, culture, socioeconomic or marital status.  When you come to Legacy you are family.
